No. Currently there are no special discounts for teachers visiting the museum. You can request a tour of the exhibits by emailing the Scheduling Coordinator. There are also multiple free and discounted days that you can visit with your family, including First Friday, Musuems After Dark, Smithsonian Days, and more. No, there is no cafe onsite. There are snacks available in the STEAMart Gift Shop.

Yes! There are tables on the east end of the Great Hall available for guests to enjoy a bagged meal or snack. Please keep food in this area only and do not take it out on the museum floor.

Yes! When school is off, SciTech is ON! SciTech is open for Columbus Day, Winter Break, MLK Day, Presidents Day, and Spring Break. Themed activities and science shows will be offered. Check Upcoming Events for a calendar and details.

SciTech Hands On Museum is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Yes! SciTech Hands On Museum welcomes groups. To qualify for a discount, your group must have a minimum of fifteen (15) paying individuals. Check Field Trips or Programs for more information.

SciTech Hands On Museum is a great destination for all ages! The 200 Hands On exhibits are scaleable – young children enjoy pushing buttons and blowing bubbles while older children and adults can learn about the science of WHY something happens.

Yes! SciTech is a partner with Museums for All. Show your LINK card and a photo ID, and get up to four admissions for $3 per person.

Homeschool families are welcome to schedule any of the SciTech Hands On Museum Programs. Please note the minimum paying participants requirements for individual programs. Our suggestion is to network with other homeschool families.

Donation requests are generally filled with family passes (value up to $50). Please submit your request via email to giving@scitechmuseum.org. Include the name of your organization, the date you need the passes by, and a mailing address for where the passes should be sent to. Please allow five weeks for processing.

The Fox Motion Park is a seasonal exhibit area available daily June-August and on the weekends in September. This area is weather dependent, and will not be open if it is raining or extremely hot.

Yes! SciTech Hands On Museum gratefully works with people needing community service hours, corporate volunteer days, and school groups. Please call the museum or complete the Volunteer form to schedule a time.

SciTech currently does not have formal sensory days. However, the afternoons (after 2pm) are usually more quiet. In addition, let the staff know at the front desk, and we can turn off some of the louder noise exhibits. We can also give you access to the Early Learning Center for a cool-down space if you need it.
