February 18, 2022: The Aurora City Council is set to vote on $888,000 in Quality of Life grants, including $55,000 to SciTech Hands On Museum.

January 31, 2022: SciTech Hands On Museum will likely leave downtown Aurora. The City of Aurora has asked SciTech, the hands-on science museum dedicated to STEM education for children, to leave its building in downtown Aurora by the end of March.

March 25, 2020: SciTech Hands On Museum is working on new ways for our friends and guests to explore STEAM online while the building is closed. Check out the Facebook Page for daily challenges in LEGOS, cooking, engineering, and more. Guests are also invited to submit a photo of a museum visit and have it turned into a coloring page for everyone to enjoy.

SciTech Hands On Museum has joined the effort to #FLATTENTHECURVE and fight the coronavirus, along with other museums in the Chicagoland area. 

EFFECTIVE Saturday, March 14, 2020,
the museum will be closed to the public.
