Dr. Shawn's Science Adventure Camps run from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.  
You can extend the learning and the convenience through our special Before Care and After Care programs.
Now you can drop off your kids off at 8:00AM and pick them up as late as 5:00PM. (Additional fee required.)

REFUND POLICY
If you cancel a session at least 14 days prior to the start date, a refund will be issued, less a $25 administrative fee. Absolutely no refunds will be issued after that time. SciTech has a minimum enrollment policy of 8 children per class, with a maximum of 20 per class.
If a class does not reach the minimum enrollment and SciTech cancels that class you will be notified at least one week in advance and given a full refund.

Totally Ballistic!
All new explosions and activities that pop! Get more bang for your buck in this course that focuses on rocket science, flight, and ballistics! Make things move with different kinds of fuel and investigate different types of combustion. Build your own airplanes, rockets, and catapults while discovering what makes a good projectile. No experience needed for this course, but a desire to make things fly would help!
Cook-y Chemistry
Investigate the chemistry of food! This camp explores the science behind your favorite foods and why they taste so good. Get messy while you cook your way through hands-on food activities and then enjoy the fruits of your labor! Campers will investigate the chemistry of baking, the pH level of foods, and even the how’s and why’s of homemade ice cream!
What’s BUGgin’ You?
Friend or foe, squishy or spiky, insects are here to stay. Investigate what makes a bug a bug, learn about our creepy crawly friends from all over the world, and discover why insects are so important to the world as we know it. Campers will get to search for their own specimens for group study , and have lots of up-close and personal face time with their new friends.
Tech Trek
Do you like robots? Gadgets? Computers? If you said yes to any of those questions, this is the camp for you! Analyze today’s popular hi-tech gadgets and find out what makes them tick. Learn how to program a robot, then design and build a robot gladiator (materials provided) and have it compete in our robot arena!
C.S.I. Forensic Adventures
Ever wonder how crime fighters solve the puzzle? If yes, then this course is for you! Investigate how detectives solve crimes as you learn the science behind ink identification, fingerprinting, and DNA sequencing. Inspect a crime scene and collect real clues to solve a mystery with your fellow campers! Find out how crime fighters use cryptography and solve crimes using observation and forensics.
Dynamic Dinosaurs
All creatures Triassic, Jurassic, and Mesozoic! This class is for the dinosaur lover! Learn about all sorts of dinosaurs and all the things that we know about them. Investigate what makes a dinosaur a dinosaur. Survey how paleontologists classify and learn about dinosaurs from their fossilized remains, and then apply your new skills at our SciTech excavation site!
Geological Wonders
What the heck is a tectonic plate?! Find out as you examine the earth from the crust to the core and back again! Learn what a geologist does and how they know what they know. Investigate the geology of Kane County and learn why your geological region is unique. This camp includes lots of hands-on outdoor activities. Bring your boots and get ready to get muddy!
Science for Olympians
The science class for athletes! Sprint your way through this scientific course as you learn the physics of movement and the chemistry behind sports. Learn how the human body works from an athletic point of view and why certain body types are better at certain sports. This class will emphasize the science of healthy living and will include many physical activities. Be ready to move!
Animal Kingdom
Venture to the land of the zoological! Study animals, and learn how their adaptations help them in the wild. Learn how zoologists classify animals and what makes each one special. Investigate your furry friends and what makes them yip, growl, sing, and howl.
